Last week, Nashville officials decided to revert back to a modified version of Phase 2 on the road to reopening Nashville. While hosting open houses is still permitted, we’ll lay out the guidelines that have been put in place to ensure your safety as a Real Estate Professional as well as the safety of your guests.
In this phase, all individuals in Davidson and Williamson County must wear face masks in public places, which includes open houses.
No more than 25 people can be inside a home at a time and individuals must stay 6 feet apart from one another.
Exceptions to the guidelines include:
- Children age 12 or younger
- Individuals who cannot medically tolerate a face mask
- While outdoors in public spaces (unless maintaining a physical distance of 6 feet is not possible)
To communicate guidelines with your guests, Real Estate Professionals hosting the open house should post signage at all entrances stating:
“Pursuant to Order 8 from the Chief Medical Director of Health for the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County, you are REQUIRED to wear a cloth face covering or mask while attending this open house and make all efforts to maintain a social distance of at least six feet.”
It is important for all Real Estate Professionals to abide by these rules during their open houses so the real estate industry can continue to operate safely as an essential business. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call our Bradford Real Estate office at 615-279-5310. Stay safe and stay healthy friends!
What about the exception listed? I work in a model home and only allow 4 people in at a time. I ask Realtors to please give me a more exact time as close as possible for their appt.
By those working alone in separate office spaces or in non-public workplaces that have more than adequate area for social distancing based on the size of and number of people in the space (either indoors or outdoors). Such persons must be prepared to wear a face covering when interacting with others in groups of 6 or more persons or in groups of any size where social distancing of more than six (6) feet cannot be consistently maintained
Hi Katt! We’re glad to hear you’re doing your part to practice safe social distancing while showing homes. Limiting the number of guests allowed in a home to four sounds like a great way to help keep your clients safe. We hope you are staying healthy!
